Along with our fellow universities and state agencies, Longwood is closely monitoring Hurricane Florence, and preparing for wind and substantial rain later this week. This is a serious storm and everyone should exercise care, but we want to reassure students that Longwood has lots of experience getting through severe weather events. We will be as prepared as possible and are confident that campus will be a safe place for students during the storm. For now the university continues to operate as normal, but as the forecast becomes clearer, we’ll continue to communicate regularly, including updates on campus events scheduled for the weekend.
