A malicious wounding occurred on Garden Street. The victim is not a Longwood University student. Farmville Police has received information that the victim was jumped by a group of black males.

No threat to campus or students is expected but it is recommended that students return to housing areas. When traveling please use caution and stay in groups.

A serious assault on a non LU student near campus has occurred. There is no threat to campus. Please use caution and stay in groups.

Due to expected inclement weather, Longwood will open at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18. The housing application process will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, as scheduled.

Hours for facilities and services on Tuesday are as follows:

• FAB: Starts running at 10 a.m.
• Dining Hall: Regularly scheduled hours
• Fitness Center: Opens at 9 a.m.
• Greenwood Library: Opens at 11 a.m.
• Lankford Student Union: Opens at 11 a.m.

All classes and activities this evening (Monday, March 17) will take place as scheduled.
