Campus community, Grainger Hall has been cleared and is now re-opened. Faculty and staff can return to gather belongings, and classes will be held in Grainger as scheduled tomorrow. Longwood University police responded to an online bomb threat made that referenced Grainger Hall. Regional partner agencies, including Virginia State Police and Farmville Police Department, assisted in responding and clearing the building. Police have a person of interest in custody, and the situation is now resolved. Thank you to everyone for clearing the building and nearby classrooms in the Rotunda quickly and efficiently. For the safety of the campus community, LUPD and the university take all potential threats seriously and follow specific protocols and procedures when threats like these are made.
